FIRST SIGHT DUO
Joyful, young and artistic – are the things that everyone wants to hear about a particular musician. But we are more than that. We would describe ourselves as Ambitious, Confident and Innovative. Mostly full of ideas for good music and development and of course burning of energy for the fulfilling of those projects. And who exactly are we? FIRST SIGHT– a young duet formation, which loves music and sharing it with people. Our small band, consists of Joanna – vocal, and Denis – piano. What is the most vital for us is the spirit and the atmosphere that we emit and express, the one that charges the audience. The musical genres that we perform are various – pop, rock and jazz. That is the reason why we have had performances not only in clubs, but in hotels and restaurants or as background music. We will not ignore the fact that we also write our own music, which brings us pleasure and satisfaction. FIRST SIGHT – Denis, who has been playing the piano for 18 years, has graduated the music school “Dobri Hristov” in Varna. He has also played in a diversity of school concerts, he`s been a musical accompanist to the opera singers and to different musicians in the music school, as well as to children`s choirs. He`s won many prizes from competitions for pianists. After his graduation begins his experience at the music fields: as we start from piano-bar “Sinatra”, the band “Deep, jazzy, funky and groovy” and we reach ”Big Bang Generation”- the band in which we both perform with other brilliant musicians. Moreover he is keen on composing. Joanna has been singing for 7 years. Her teacher is Kremena Mateva, who is also an educator from the music school “Dobri Hristov”. Joanna has many awards and medals from singing contests, she has also performed on several charity concerts. She has also sung in another duet, as well as in the band “Revolutionary”. As for the present, respectively she is the vocal of “Big Bang Generation”. In her free time she writes song lyrics.
