Madalina Ioana Petre Clasical Guitare and Jazz Vocalist

Guitarist:

Madalina Petre began studying guitar at age 9, at Highschool of Arts in Constanta, road that she followed also in the University of Music from Bucharest and Conservatorio Giuseppe Tarttini from Trieste, Italy. She graduated the Faculty and the Master Programme of Musical Interpretation, at the Classical Guitar Section, having Catalin Stefanescu-Patrascu and Ennio Guerrato as a teachers. Her musical activity refers to various concerts in choral and chamber music formulas and most of them as a soloist. She has given numerous concerts and recitals over her studying years, being constantly preoccupied by perfecting herself and participating at masterclasses supported by teachers like: Liviu Georgescu, Eugen Mang, Roth Ede, Gabriel Bianco, Anabel Montesinos, Marco Tamayo, Sebastian Montes, Paulikovics Pal Gabor Podrovsky, David Pavlovits, Antal Pusztai and many others. She attended:

International Clasical Guitar Festival Sinaia (editions 2010; 2011; 2012;2013 and 2015 when she was invited to sustain the jazz concert as a vocalist);

International Clasical Guitar Festival Targu Mures (editions 2012; 2013;2014; 2015 where she was as well the vocalist in the jazz concerts, singing with the Hungarian jazz guitarist Antal Pusztai);

International Clasical Guitar Festival in Odorhei, Terra Siculorum, edition 2013;

International Clasical Guitar Festival Severin edition 2014.

Vocalist:

Allways attracted by singing she has improved her vocal skills in parallel with studying classical guitar. Approaching varied repertoire and having a big predilection for improvisation, led her to the genre which characterizes her best: jazz music. She participated in festivals like `Keep an eye on Summer School, Amsterdam`; `Iconarts Sibiu Festival`, `Jazz Festival in Sfantu Gheorghe`; International Jazz Festival Johnny Raducanu, Braila-2014, in which she sustained concerts. She participated to masterclasses with teachers like: Deborah Carter, Claron McFadden, Francien van Tuinen, Maartje Meijer, Mircea Tiberian, Luiza Zan, John Betch, Linda Kovacs, Kazai Ági, Juhasz Gabor, Bogothy Adam Viktor, Toth Viktor. As a jazz vocalist she constantly has concerts in Bucharest and many other cityes in Romania and abroad, having a varied repertoire which always attracts trough the energical rhythms and the beauty of the story she creates with the lyrics.

As a vocalist she shares the stage with prestigious musicians as: Sorin Romanescu, Alex Man, Mircea Tiberian, John Betch, Liviu Negru si Alex Olteanu, Ciprian Pop, Mihai Iordache, Catalin Milea, Antal Pusztai, having a repertoire of jazz standard, blues, bossa nova and as well English, French, Spanish and Romanian songs sung with an improvisatoric character.
